What Winslow Township Collects
From the township’s published Public Works guidelines:
- Bulk is collected one day a month, on a Thursday set by your regular trash day: 1st Thursday for Monday trash, 2nd Thursday for Tuesday, 3rd Thursday for Wednesday, and 4th Thursday for Thursday and Friday. There is no pickup on a 5th Thursday.
- Mattresses and box springs must be covered or wrapped in plastic.
- Carpet and rugs must be cut, rolled and tied in 4-foot lengths under 50 pounds.
- Glass in furniture, pictures and fish tanks has to be taped in an X on both sides.
- Not accepted as bulk: construction debris, electronics, extra trash bags or containers, and cardboard boxes.
- Metal and appliances are a separate Friday pickup, by appointment.
- Electronics go to the Department of Public Works, 125 South Route 73 in Braddock, Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. Photo ID required.
- Regular trash has to fit in the township cart with the lid closed. Loose bags and extra containers are not emptied.
Public Works is at 609-567-0700, option 2. Rules change, so confirm before you put anything out.
One note on addresses: the Sicklerville zip code, 08081, reaches past Winslow into neighboring townships. If you are not sure which municipality collects your trash, check your tax bill before relying on the schedule above.

How Pricing Works
Volume, labor and disposal set the number: how much of the truck your items fill, how hard they are to get out, and what they cost to dispose of responsibly.
About disposal surcharges: mattresses and box springs, tires, anything containing refrigerant, televisions and CRT monitors, pianos and safes carry a per-piece fee at the facility. We pass those through at cost and name them in your quote before you agree.
